Watch out for falling bricks

Here is the newest addition to examples of dangers, which is one of the two or three most popular questions I get. Male travellers ask about women first. Then come safety and prices. Women ask about safety, and then souvenirs and entertainment. Guess that summarizes our nature: staying alive, reproducing our pathetic little selves, and acquiring possessions are top priorities. But this post is not to tell you that the end of the world is overdue but to warn you about falling bricks that are part of your “typical Moscow”. Watch for lose bricks and giant icicles. Balconies tend to be used for storage, and objects regularly fly off from wind. A couple of times heavy things did fall uncomfortably close to me.
