More food. Sorry.

One of today’s pleasant discoveries was the Raduga supermarket on Ulitsa Trofimova, close to Ulitsa Obraztsova.  A good selection of Armenian, Bulgarian, and non-mainstream Russian products that included old-fashioned 3-liter jars of juice.  Can’t think of any other place with a larger cereals shelf. Pickled vegetables from non-mainstream producers, and not overpriced either. What a difference from the standard Achan/Attak/Alyye Parusa/Pyaterochka/Azbuka fair! Impressed.  This place definitely belongs to my list.

It may very well be associated with the new Armenian Orthodox Church nearby, also on Trofimova.

  1. My God, this man is obsessed with food! We spent three hours in the Jewish Museum and Tolerance Center (, I could only think about the Jewish pogroms and the Holocaust. We just went to the store to buy bread! And now – he again writes about food ..
